Inspired by personal bunnies, the Velveteen Rabbit (beloved friend), Briar Rabbit (trickster), and Alice in Wonderland's hare (anxious guide): The rabbit is a potent emblem for sentimental memories. ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) art, composed of text characters, was the visual language of the early internet, bulletin board systems (chat forums), and basic web design of the 1990s and early 2000s -- the years in which I grew up. The ASCII rabbit, therefore, is not only an image but a piece of my personal digital archaeology.
